Control what you can!!!

There are situation in life where things seems uncontrollable. At that point of time it is better to control and focus on our circle of control to remain calm, positive and motivated. We have to learn and must learn to overlook and move ahead of the things which fall outside our circle of control.
Life is too short to focus on things which are of no use. Let's keep enjoying life and rocking!!!
Cheers

Perception of excellence and success.

I would like to share a learning from #Mahabharat.

There are 2 ways of achieving excellence:

1. "#Being_Shrestha" - Focus is on proving that you are better than others. There is no doubt that Karna was an excellent archer but he always wanted to beat Arjun in order to prove himself as a 'Shrestha' Dhanurdhari (archer).

2. "#Being_Uttam" - the focus is on self-discovery. Competing with yourself and pushing your limits gradually. Arjun was a 'Uttam' yodha. His focus was on learning new skills.

Krishna has emphasized that being Shrestha is good but one day you will reach a point of stagnation. Being Uttam brings continuous improvement and there is no limit. The decision lies in our hands. Whom do we want to compete with - Others or Thyself?

This is not about Arjun v/s Karna. This is about their perception of excellence and success.

Let's stand together to overcome this post covid darkness and spread happiness and positivity to all for speedy recovery!!!

Generally termed as long covid leaves after effects like exhaustion, palpitations, unusual pain in the calves, brain fog, multi-organ impacts, formation of blood clots resulting in pulmonary embolism or stroke, nascent diabetes and most importantly is the psychological impact of the disease resulting in depression and anxiety.
Covid had hit at least 1.4% of India's working-age population till date and all these symptoms have affected the covid survivors' ability to work at various degrees
This has to be taken into account by employers. New HR policies are needed to be framed and counselling sessions regarding mental well-being is need of the heart.

Don't expect, just accept!!!

Once I visited one of my friend who just did meditation and was upset. I asked the reason. She said my husband talks on phone when I meditate. She said that she needs silence to concentrate.
I heard a noise coming from downstairs of vegetable vendor selling vegetables. I asked this voice was also coming when you were meditating. This voice is much louder than voice of your husband talking on phone.
Was this disturbing you?
She replied that vegetable vendor is doing his work and his voice was not disturbing her. She said she was meditating so she didn't heard voice of vegetable vendor but voice of her husband was striking in her ears every now and then.
I smiled and said that since you have accepted the voice of vegetable vendor and your thoughts are in line that it will be there and won't trouble so it's not troubling.
But you have expectation that your husband should keep quiet when you meditate so his voice troubles you.
It's all in the way you think...If you accept that your husband is doing his work talking on phone, his voice will also not trouble you.
She also smiled as if she has got the secret.
It's all in the way we think. If we don't expect anything, we will be happy always.
So replace expect with accept and see the magic!!!

Happy women's day!!!

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 across the world. It's a day when everyone shows appreciation, love, and respect towards women.  But, we, women should not wait for any recognition or appreciation from others.
Enjoy women hood ,take good care of ourselves and be happy.
Four Hormones which determine a human's happiness.
1. Endorphins
2. Dopamine
3. Serotonin
4. Oxytocin
It is important we understand these hormones
as we need all four of them *to stay happy.*

Let's look at the first hormone, the Endorphins.
When we exercise, the body releases Endorphins. This hormone helps the body cope with the pain of exercising. We then enjoy exercising because these Endorphins will make us happy.Laughter is another good way of generating Endorphins. We need to spend 30 minutes exercising every day, read or watch funny stuff to get our day's dose of Endorphins.

The second hormone is Dopamine.
In our journey of life, we accomplish many little and big tasks, it releases various levels of Dopamine. When we get appreciated for our work at the office or at home, we feel accomplished and good, that is because it releases Dopamine.
The third hormone Serotonin is released when we act in a way that benefits others. When we transcend ourselves and give back to others or to nature or to the society, it releases Serotonin.*Even, providing useful information on the internet like writing information blogs, answering peoples questions on Quora or Facebook groups will generate Serotonin.
That is because we will use our precious time to help other people via our answers or articles.
The final hormone is Oxytocin and it is released when we become close to other human beings. When we hug our friends or family Oxytocin is released. The "Jadoo Ki Jhappi" from Munnabhai does really works.

So in order to feel more and more *happy* day by day ...

1.*Motivate ourselves to play and have some fun*
*-Endorphins*

2. *Appreciate others* for any small or big achievements
*-Dopamine*

3. *Inculcate sharing* habit through you to others
*-Serotonin*

4. *Hug* your family, friends......
*-Oxytocin*

Have a Happy Life!!!!
Happy women's day!!!

Secret to happiness!!!

Once one teacher gave all students in class a balloon. He asked all of them to blow their balloons and write their name on balloon and throw in the hallway. All students did same.
The hallway was full of balloons. He mixed all the balloons. Now he asked students to find their own balloon and given time was 5 minutes.
All students searched but none could find the one with his/ her name. Time was over
Now he said that each one pick one and hand over to the person whose name is written on it. In 5 minutes all balloons were in the hands of right student.
He explained to his students that these balloons are like happiness. If you keep finding yours, you will never be able to find.
But if we care about happiness of others, we will be able to find ours too!!!
